Welcome to African Arts Academy's charity giving page!
Whenever I decided to support a good cause, here is what I’ve always said to myself:
I am not a rich person, nor am I a superstar, but I can help change lives with the little that I have not only on giving Tuesday, but an every day action to celebrate generosity, community engagement and to spread love!
You do not have to wait Thanksgiving Day every year, in order to make a donation.
We are thankful for every gift whether big or small, that we receive from a lovely supporter such as yourself.
I am hoping that you will consider supporting, by making a monetary contribution to African Arts Academy's youth program. Our youth program desperately need your monetary gift to help purchase African drums and other musical instruments for dance and drum workshops. This will allow students of low income families and from our minority communities who cannot afford to buy a drum, to have access to one and participate in the program.
African Arts Academy’s youth program is designed to help parents with children from ages 5 to 17 years old stay off the street to avoid gun violence, and drug abuse by offering fun art activities such as African dance and drum lessons for the after school program and during summer break.
Funds will also go toward our student exchange scholarship program, to award selected students, who will travel to Abidjan Côte d’Ivoire West Africa, to participate in a specialized dance program with our affiliate art institutions.
The mission is to preserve African cultural heritage, by empower youth, especially from minority communities and of low income families through art education and cultural exchange for generations to come.
